Required Actions for All Incoming GSAS Students

March-April 
Receive your Yale NetID and PIN to activate your Yale Account.

April 15 
Due date to respond to offer of admission (online)

Early May
Receive and read New Student Email “Preparing to Enroll at Yale”

By May 31
Complete online form to get a new Yale student ID card. Upload a photo for your Yale ID card on the ID Card Photo Upload web page (March-May 31).

Late April to June 20
Download Yale Health History & Vaccination Forms. Take forms to your health provider to complete AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Starting June 20 - DUE before August 1
Download forms starting June 20 and submit your completed vaccination records to yale.medicatconnect.com before August 1, 2020.

By July 1
Learn about the Yale eBill-ePay system and student accounts.  

By July 1
Read the Graduate School Financial Aid FAQ to learn about stipends, fellowships, payroll deduction, direct deposit and taxes.

By July 15
Send your transcripts to the Graduate School.  

Before August 1
Submit Health History form to Yale Health & Upload Immunization Information to Medicat online

By August 15 
Complete Required Training Online (coming summer 2020) - Preventing and Responding to Sexual Misconduct (required for all degree and non-degree students)

August 21
NEW 2020 GSAS Student Health Coverage BEGINS; Please Learn about your Yale Health coverage online (or at Orientation sessions)

August 24
ORIENTATION for New GSAS Students, August 24-September 1, 2020 (Required)

August 31
First GSAS Stipend payment for new students. See information on Direct Deposit, Payslips, and Workday for Students

August 31
GSAS Classes begin

By September 15
Due date for Yale Health Coverage Waivers
Due date for Yale Health Family Member (spouse or children) Enrollment

Health Award Fellowship Information for Ph.D. students with Spouses/Partners and Dependent Children.

Due date to signup for optional Dental and/or Eye Care coverage from outside providers and pay associated premium fees.  

By September 30
Due date for Family Support Policy enrollment for Ph.D. students
