Dean's Fund was established to encourage ongoing dialogue between students and faculty regarding their scholarship and research.
Some of these conversations focus on a particular field of study, whereas others address the intersection of multiple disciplines and provide a forum for those at the University who would otherwise have less occasion to interact. The Dean's Fund currently supports over thirty student colloquia, many of which renew their funding annually and have become an integral part of Yale's academic community. This program also offers graduate students practical experience in developing and administering academic series and events.
Student-organized research workshops, seminars and colloquia that will hold at least four meetings per term are eligible for support from the Dean's Fund. The awards are up to $500 per term (up to $1,000 per year), and the deadlines are September 15th and January 20th. Please note that the deadlines are strictly enforced.
