Mentoring relationships can be extraordinarily beneficial and fulfilling for both the mentor and mentee.
If you want to share your knowledge and experience and build connections with undergraduates or other graduate students, we invite you to join our 4-tiered mentoring program. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to meet and/or interact several times a month. You can be a mentor, a mentee, or both! We host social events and activities for all participants, as well as academic and professional development opportunities. It's a great way to forge bonds with other people in your field.
How It Works
Our mentoring program pairs undergraduates, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and faculty members in four tiers:
- Undergraduate students are matched with Yale graduate student mentors.
- Graduate students are matched with peers who are more advanced in their graduate studies (Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program).
- Advanced graduate students are matched with post-doctoral fellows in their department.
- Advanced graduate students and post-doctoral fellows are matched with faculty mentors in their department.
This program is organized by Office for Graduate Student Development and Diversity (OGSDD).
