McDougal Graduate Student Life Office

McDougal Graduate Student Life (GSL) offers something for everyone in the Yale graduate school community. McDougal Graduate Student Life fellows and staff are here for you, to organize fun and interesting co-curricular programs and events within the McDougal Graduate Student Center or across GSAS, the Yale campus and in New Haven. The Graduate Student Life Staff oversee the operations of the spaces, resources and facilities of the McDougal Center, plan New Student Orientation, and advise and support GSAS Graduate Student Organizations and Groups, too.

McDougal GSL Fellows and staff plan a wide variety of grad events each year - monthly First Friday at Five Grad Happy Hours, Grad DIY and Grad Nights out arts events, service, international, family, sports and wellness program, and the Annual Winter Ball

McDougal GSL events:

  • Bring you together with other graduate students & families to build community.
  • Allow you to explore and enjoy Yale and New Haven.
  • Help you balance your academic and personal life.
  • Build leadership and networking skills for your career and life.
