Lauren Tilton is a PhD Candidate in American Studies interested in 20th-Century Cultural History, Visual Culture, Public Humanities, Digital Humanities. Lauren is working on documentary expression in the 20th century. She is currently Co-Director, with Professor Laura Wexler, of Photogrammar, a project which is mapping the 170,000 photographs of the Great Depression and World War II from the FSA-OWI Collection at the Library of Congress. It is a digital and public humanities project funded by a National Endowment for the Humanities Phase II Digital Start-Up Grant. She was the 2012-1013 Chair of the Yale Graduate Student Assembly and is currently the Advocacy Chair for the Yale Graduate and Professional Student Senate.
