#InspiringYaleStudents - Steven Reilly

April 10, 2015

Steven Reilly, a graduate student in the James Noonan Lab, investigates the genetic underpinnings behind the evolution of the human cortex. Human higher cognition is attributed to the evolutionary expansion and elaboration of the cerebral cortex. Steven is broadly interested in human evolution, epigenomics, data integration, and systems biology. He specifically enjoys blending computational methods with novel experimental techniques to generate testable hypotheses about human-specific biology. Steven is a former Graduate and Professional Student Senate president. In New Haven he is particularly fond of seeing productions at the Yale Cabaret, visiting the Leitner Family Observatory and Planetarium, and brewing his own beer. In this video, Steven talks about his research and his life at the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and in the New Haven community.
