Yale Club of San Francisco discusses Women’s Rights under Trump

On Thursday, November 16, 2017, the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences co-sponsored a panel discussion in San Francisco, California organized by the Yale Club of San Francisco.

The panel discussion, entitled “The Future of Women’s Rights Under the Trump Administration”, featured GSAS alumnae Dr. Carol Christ and Dr. Elizabeth Hillman. Dr. Christ (PhD ‘70) is the first female Chancellor of University of California Berkeley. Dr. Hillman (JD ‘00, PhD ‘01) is the president of Mills College in Oakland, California. Professor Deborah Rhode of Stanford Law School (BA ‘74, JD ‘77) also participated in the panel discussion. Johanna Wise (BS ‘89) moderated the event.

The panelists explored several topics, including the future of women in academia, the military, politics and women and leadership broadly defined. Approximately 50 San Francisco Bay Area Yalies were in attendance. Other co-sponsors of the event included The Yale Law School Alumni Association of the San Francisco Bay Area and Yale Women of Northern California.
