Graduate School Alumni Association Board
The Graduate School Alumni Association (GSAA) is the alumni leadership board for the Graduate School. GSAA deepens connections among alumni, fosters stronger ties between current graduate students and alumni worldwide, supports the strategic goals of the Graduate School, and provides review and counsel to the Dean regarding the direction of alumni relations.
GSAA Board Committees
The Alumni Engagement Committee enhances alumni-to-alumni, direct engagement at local and international levels, and develops through its internationalization effort, a more global network of active alumni stakeholders. We work with: YAA and the Careers, Life and Yale series; Yale Club Presidents; alumni focused on facilitating Peer Mentoring, or Yale event coordination; and the GSAA Board Clubs Task Force.
The GSAA Board Departmental Engagement Committee serves as a resource for departments that wish to engage with alumni in a variety of areas, especially around career exploration and discernment. We collaborate with GSAS administrators, alumni and graduate students to share insights on career pathways and create tools to facilitate student investigation of post-Yale options.
The Inclusive Engagement Committee supports the GSAA Board’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through the activities we sponsor to ensure that Yale is a place where everyone thrives. We facilitate in-person and virtual connections among alumni, diverse graduate student organizations, and the greater New Haven community to foster inclusive experiences at Yale and beyond.
The Student Engagement Committee provides a platform to connect Yale graduate students and recent graduates with a broad range of professionals who can provide valuable insights into career paths and networking opportunities. The committee organizes a year-round series of virtual and in-person "Where Do I Go From Yale?" events, in partnership with other GSAA committees, and the Yale Alumni Association Careers, Life and Yale program. Previous activities have included career panels, discussion groups, and networking. The event taps into the wealth of knowledge and experience of Yale GSAS alums, it is an opportunity to explore career pathways and consider the myriad opportunities available to Yale graduate students.
