Rachel Wheeler

'98 PhD History / Professor of Religious Studies, Chair of Interdisciplinary Studies, Indiana University Indianapolis

Rachel Wheeler is Professor of Religious Studies and Chair of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at Indiana University Indianapolis. She received her BA in Religious Studies from Carleton College in 1991 and her PhD in History from Yale in 1998. Her main field of research is American religious history with a focus on Native American religions and the history and legacy of missions.
