Xiruo Li earned her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology in 2021 and is currently the Senior Manager at Kyowa Kirin, a Japanese-based global specialty pharmaceutical company. After completing her PhD, Xiruo joined McKinsey & Company as a consultant, where she worked on various strategy and operations projects within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. After a few years as a consultant at McKinsey, she transitioned into strategic planning in the pharmaceutical industry. Xiruo's journey exemplifies how ambitious and inquisitive students can leverage Yale's extensive career development resources to explore diverse career paths and prepare for an ever-changing professional landscape. She is an active member of the Yale alum network and recently participated in a Where Do I Go From Yale (WDIGFY) professionalization panel hosted by the Graduate School Alumni Association
