Ed Balleisen

Edward J. Balleisen is Professor of History and Vice Provost for Interdisciplinary Studies at Duke University. He received his PhD in History from Yale in 1995. Ed has utilized his graduate degree to achieve  excellence both within his academic field, as well as to follow his passion for promoting interdisciplinary scholarship and civic engagement, cross-department collaboration, and cutting edge pedagogy through his work in higher academic administration.
