Master's Student Funding Overview

Old Campus 2

In general, Master’s degree students do not receive funding from the Graduate School. However, some master’s degree programs are able to provide tuition fellowships or stipends to some of their students. Inquire with your program for more information.

If you are a Master's student, we strongly encourage you to apply for external support from funding agencies. You may be eligible to apply for loans, depending on your country of citizenship, and for on-campus employment. See the resource links below for more information about these options.

The Graduate School's Programs and Policies contains a detailed overview of tuition and fees, which is updated annually, and important information about funding policies and resources.

If you are enrolled in a Master’s degree program and are registered at least half-time, you will receive Basic Coverage through Yale Health. Enrollment is automatic, based on term registration. You do not need to apply for or waive this coverage.
