Dean's Emergency Fund
The Dean’s Emergency Fund enables terminal master’s and PhD students in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences to continue making academic progress despite unanticipated, extreme financial hardships that cannot be resolved through fellowships, loans, or personal resources. The maximum award for eligible requests is $2,000.

English Language Program (ELP)

The English Language Program (ELP), offered through the Center for Language Study (CLS), provides English language support to meet the needs of international students whose first language is not English. The ELP offers non-credit English courses in academic speaking, writing, presentation, and vocabulary during the academic year, as well as a Summer Academic Language Program for selected incoming PhD students.

GSAS Dean's Office
The Graduate School’s Dean’s Office provides centralized support for GSAS students and faculty, as well as its many academic, pre-professional, social, and cultural programs. The office sets and administers Graduate School policy, stewards and distributes university resources, advocates for the needs of graduate students, and provides leadership to advance the mission and strategic direction of GSAS.

GSAS Embedded Mental Health Services
GSAS students have access to a variety of free mental health services and programming through the GSAS Office of Embedded Mental Health and Wellness.

Health Award
The Graduate School provides Yale Health Basic Coverage at no cost to all students (Master's and PhD) who are enrolled at least half-time in degree-seeking programs. In addition, all PhD students registered at least half-time receive a Health Fellowship Award that covers the cost of Yale Health Hospitalization/Specialty Care Coverage.

The Graduate Housing segment of the Yale Housing office is responsible for providing graduate housing options on and around the Yale campus. They manage a limited number of on-campus, Yale-owned and operated dormitories and apartments for graduate and professional students only. They also offer information for off-campus living options.
